Terms & Conditions
Operating Hours
As the studio only operates outside of regular office hours, projects are taken on during selected evenings and weekends. Preciate Studios is a space where we pursue passion to create with intentionality, care, and joy!
Project timelines are planned to ensure all deliverables are met within the agreed schedule. We seek your understanding on this and sincerely wish to work with you to create something beautiful that we both can appreciate.
We look forward to working with you to create something that tickles our eyes!
To ensure clarity and proper documentation, all project communication will be conducted via email. This helps keep feedback, revisions, and approvals organized in one place.
Response Times
We aim to respond to all emails within 1–2 working days.
Client Feedback & Project Delays
To keep the project on schedule, timely feedback is essential.
-
If feedback or approvals are not received within 5 business days, the project timeline will automatically extend to accommodate the delay.
Working Files
-
Final working files (e.g., AI, PSD, INDD) will only be released for the design(s) approved and used by the client for the final product.
For example: If ABC Cafe selects one design for their rebrand, only that design’s working files will be provided.
-
Unused drafts, variations*, and work-in-progress files will be shared only in non-editable formats (e.g., JPG, PNG, PDF) for review purposes.
-
Working files for concepts not selected by the client will not be provided unless otherwise agreed. *See Multiple Concepts Requests under ‘Pricing & Agreement’ below.
Revisions Policy
-
Each project includes two (2) rounds of revision requests at no additional cost after the Concept Presentation* is delivered. We understand that sometimes seeing first is helpful!
(The Concept Presentation does not count as a revision.)
*See ‘Pricing & Agreement’
-
Additional revisions beyond the second round will incur extra charges, starting at $20 per revision request.
-
Revisions should remain within the scope of the agreed brief, including the final copy given. Each revision request can accommodate 5 concise, bullet-point changes.
-
Example of bullet-point change: ‘Please make this illustration larger’, ‘Please change the colour of this title’, ‘Please remove this element and replace it with xxx’
-
Any changes in copy (excluding typo errors) will be considered as 1 bullet-point change
-
Significant changes to the design may require a new quotation, at the designer’s discretion.
-
-
All revision requests must be submitted via email. This ensures clarity, documentation, and consistency in the design process.
Pricing & Agreement
We understand that pricing can be touchy.
Let’s make sure we sit down to clearly discuss prices, deliverables, and timelines until we’re both satisfied, before we commence the project!
Payment Terms
The payment schedule for any project is as follows:
-
(PHASE A) 40% Upfront — due upon signing of the contract.
-
This secures your project and covers time invested in research, strategy, and initial creative direction. Early updates will be shared as Work-in-Progress (WIP) files, giving you visibility into the process and direction.
-
Any changes in copywriting must be indicated during this stage.
-
Typically, 3 (+/-1) WIPs will be shared during this stage, including the first delivery.
-
-
(PHASE B) 40% at Concept Presentation — due upon delivery of the full design concept(s) for review.
-
At this stage, you’ll receive a polished, detailed design based on the agreed brief.
-
Two (2) rounds of revisions are included at this stage, as outlined in the Revisions Policy. (Depending on progress, the Concept Presentation may closely resemble the final WIP.)
-
-
(PHASE C) 20% at Project Completion — due upon delivery of final working files and any other deliverables.
This structure helps ensure smooth project progress while balancing your commitment and mine!
Project Start & Expedited Requests
All projects begin a minimum of 3 working days after the Contract Document is signed, initial payment and required design assets (final copywriting, images, etc.) are received.
If you’d like the project to begin sooner than the suggested start date or be completed in less than half the suggested turnaround time, we’ll do our best to make it happen. A Rush Fee of +30% will apply (subject to availability).
Late Payments
-
Payment is due within 14 calendar days of invoice issuance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
-
A late payment fee of 5% of the total invoice amount will be applied for every 14-day period past the due date.
-
Continued delays in payment may result in a pause of services, delay in file delivery, or additional charges.
-
All working files and usage rights remain the property of the designer until full payment is received.
Multiple Concepts Requests
Each service includes one design direction based on the agreed brief.
If multiple distinct options are requested for comparison (e.g. 2 or more completely different concepts), the fee will be multiplied accordingly, as each concept requires separate development.
Example:
-
1 concept → Standard price
-
2 concepts → Standard price × 2
-
3 concepts → Standard price × 3
Final delivery will include only the selected concept*, and charges reflect the total work required to create all requested options.
*See Working Files above.
Preciate Studios reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. Don’t worry — changes will only apply moving forward, never to projects already underway.
Agreement & Project Commencement
By signing, you acknowledge acceptance of the terms outlined above and confirm your agreement to proceed with the project.
